CMA Awards Dinner moves to Bloomsbury Ballroom for 2026

The CMA Awards Dinner will take place at the Bloomsbury Ballroom on Thursday 19 November 2026, bringing the construction and built environment marketing community together in one of London’s most distinctive Art Deco venues for an evening of awards, celebration and late-night festivities.

Following the success of the 25th anniversary CMA Awards in 2025, the move to the Bloomsbury Ballroom reflects the continued growth of the event and the ambition to create an even more memorable evening for the industry’s marketing community.

Built in 1926 as the South Ballroom for the Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society, the venue retains much of its original Art Deco character. Renamed the Bloomsbury Ballroom in 2006, it has become a popular setting for high-profile events in the heart of central London.

Since 2015 it has been home to the London Cabaret Club, combining the venue’s historic architecture with contemporary production and entertainment.

Feedback gathered from guests following the 2025 awards helped shape the choice of venue for 2026. One clear theme was the desire for more time to celebrate after the awards themselves.

At the Bloomsbury Ballroom the evening can continue until 2am, allowing the dinner, awards presentation and party to flow more naturally and giving guests more time to relax and enjoy the occasion together.

The event has also moved slightly earlier in the calendar than in previous years, responding to survey feedback suggesting that many attendees prefer the awards to take place before the busiest end-of-year period.

Entries for the 2026 CMA Awards will open on Monday 20 April. As in previous years, the programme will recognise outstanding marketing across the construction and built environment sector, celebrating the creativity, strategy and commercial impact of both in-house teams and specialist agencies.

Key dates for the 2026 CMA Awards are: entries close on Friday 11 September, the shortlist will be announced on Monday 5 October, and judging interviews will take place on 14, 15 and 16 October. Winners will be revealed at the CMA Awards Dinner at the Bloomsbury Ballroom on Thursday 19 November.

Organised by the CBE Marketing Network, part of Built Environment and Architecture Media (BEAM), the CMA Awards have recognised marketing excellence across the construction and built environment since 2000.

Over more than two decades the awards have developed a loyal following and have become a highlight of the industry calendar, bringing together in-house marketing teams, agencies and industry partners to celebrate the work shaping the built environment.
