About the CBE Marketing Network

The Construction and Built Environment Marketing Network is a media platform for marketing professionals working across construction, property and the wider built environment.

Part of Built Environment and Architecture Media (BEAM), the Network grew out of the CMA Awards and reflects the same ambition: to recognise, celebrate and elevate the role of marketing in the sector.

Why it exists

Marketing plays an increasingly central role in how organisations in the built environment grow, compete and communicate.

But it is often under-explained, inconsistently measured and, at times, undervalued.

By publishing real examples and sharing practical insight, it helps make the case for marketing as a strategic, commercial function. It also provides a clearer picture of how the discipline is evolving in response to new technologies, new expectations and a changing market.

What we do

We publish insight, analysis and conversation focused on how marketing is shaping the built environment.

Our content is grounded in practice. It explores how marketing supports pipeline, influences decision-making, builds trust and responds to change, from regulatory reform and procurement pressures to AI and digital transformation.

Through editorial features, interviews, roundtables and events, the Network brings together the people responsible for marketing across the sector, from in-house teams and consultants to agencies and clients.

How it works

The Network is open, curated and editorially led.

Content is commissioned, developed and published to ensure it is relevant, useful and grounded in real experience. Contributors include marketing leaders, practitioners and specialists working across the built environment.

Rather than acting as a forum for general discussion, the platform focuses on visibility, clarity and quality of insight.

The role of partners

The Network is supported by organisations across the sector who contribute to its content, conversations and events.

These supporters help shape the agenda, share experience and bring forward the perspectives of clients, consultants and agencies working at the forefront of marketing in the built environment.

The emphasis is on contribution and collaboration, rather than promotion.

Connection to the CMA Awards

The Network sits alongside the CMA Awards, which since 2000 have recognised excellence in marketing across the built environment.

Together, they shine a spotlight on the campaigns, strategies and creative thinking transforming the built environment, sharing creative work, thought-provoking ideas and best practice that are delivering results in the real world.
