We are delighted to announce that Jo Caulfield will be taking to the stage as host of this year’s CMA Awards, bringing her trademark sharp wit, quick-fire humour and extensive experience of hosting major events to the biggest night in construction marketing.
One of the UK’s most respected stand-up comedians, Jo is a familiar face from television programmes including Have I Got News For You, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and The John Bishop Show. Radio listeners will know her from Just a Minute, Breaking The News and her own BBC Radio 4 series, Jo Caulfield Won’t Shut Up and It’s That Jo Caulfield Again.
A regular headliner at leading comedy clubs and a stalwart of the Edinburgh Fringe, Jo was voted The Comedians’ Comedian in 2022, an accolade awarded by fellow performers and members of the comedy industry.
Her talents extend well beyond stand-up. Behind the scenes, Jo has written for some of the biggest names in British entertainment, including Graham Norton, Joan Rivers, Ant & Dec and Anne Robinson. She was also a writer and programme consultant on all five series of Graham Norton’s BAFTA-winning So Graham Norton.
In 2023, she published her first book, A Funny Thing About Death, a funny and moving memoir about her relationship with her sister Annie, which Graham Norton described as “a wildly satisfying and moving read”.
Described by The Scotsman as “Quite simply, a damn funny woman”, Jo is also an experienced awards host, making her an ideal choice to guide guests through an evening celebrating outstanding achievement in construction marketing.
